SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 24, 2017) – VIA Metropolitan Transit is proud to support the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and the San Antonio art community as the Official Transportation Partner for CineFestival, Feb. 24 through March 4, 2017.

Convenient and economical service to CineFestival is available on VIA routes 66 and 68, which make frequent stops in front of the Guadalupe Theater. The service runs from early morning to late night every day, allowing festival attendees the opportunity to enjoy the event’s nine days of screenings, celebrity guest appearances, panel discussions, receptions, and a multitude of community events.

“VIA is proud to be the official transportation partner for CineFestival 2017 and to continue to support the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center in a shared mission to connect our region with art, history and culture,” VIA President and CEO Jeffrey C. Arndt said. “Supporting events like CineFestival helps us make that important connection between VIA’s programs and services, and the region’s rich cultural offerings.”

Arndt will deliver opening remarks during CineFestival’s opening ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.

CineFestival attendees can take advantage of VIA’s service by purchasing a VIA Day Pass on the bus or any transit center for $2.75, which allows unlimited rides all day on any regular route. “CineFestival started 39 years ago as a true community event. The addition of VIA Metropolitan as the official transportation partner will help expand our commitment to making these important stories easy to attend,” says Jim Mendiola, CineFestival Director. “Just like VIA connects our city, CineFestival, with this partnership, will help the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center connect our culture to our audience.”

Transit directions also are available on Google Maps and third-party mobile apps such as Transit, Moovit, and TripGo on your IOS or Android devices. Call VIA Customer Service at (210) 362-2020 for assistance.
