SAN ANTONIO (March 21, 2016) – VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer Special Event Park & Ride service for participants in the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the Alamodome, 100 Montana St., on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

VIA’s Park & Ride service to the Race for the Cure will be offered from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd., and Heroes Stadium, 4799 Thousand Oaks Dr. Service to the Alamodome will begin at 6 a.m., and return service will run until 11 a.m.

The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military members in uniform or with a VIA Reduced Fare ID. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.

In addition to the Park & Ride service, VIA Primo will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 6 a.m. and continuing until 11 a.m. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply, and VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Primo.
