SAN ANTONIO (April 6, 2017) — For the first time, VIA Metropolitan Transit has issued a specially designed bus pass, made to celebrate the spirit of San Antonio and the region. The limited-edition passes feature a papel picado design and are available at regular- and reduced-fare prices for the Day Pass, 7-Day Pass, and 31-Day Pass.
The festive passes commemorate Fiesta, San Antonio’s biggest celebration, and are available where VIA passes are sold, including on the bus, at VIA Information Centers, participating H-E-B stores, and other retail outlets, while supplies last. Festive passes can be used for any regular VIA bus service, including the new VIVA routes that serve downtown, the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site, and the Broadway to Blue Star corridor— all active areas during Fiesta. As with all VIA passes, they cannot be used for Special Event Service, including VIA Park & Ride.
