SAN ANTONIO (May 10, 2017) – VIA Metropolitan Transit has significantly updated its website to provide site visitors with an enhanced user experience through a modern design, friendlier interface, and improved site architecture. Visit VIAinfo.net today to explore the updated site.

The redesign provides an up-to-date, friendly, and responsive site that keeps its most popular features while adding new tools in one easy-to-use website. Highlights include an updated trip planner, a convenient search function, and a completely responsive platform that makes it viewable on all devices.

“The revamped VIA website provides an updated design that expands access to VIA programs and services, and promotes increased ridership,” said VIA Deputy CEO Keith Hom. “The new website further demonstrates our goal to connect our community to opportunity through innovation and customer focus.”

The redesigned site maintains its most popular features while making them easier to find and use, including:
• The online trip planner, now searchable with addresses, stops, or landmarks
Quick route lookup and downloadable maps
Rider alerts
• Quick access to information about fares and passes
• Easy-to-find information about doing business with VIA
• Updated contact information and contact forms

The new site is part of a series of technological innovations from VIA, including free systemwide 4G LTE WiFi, a partnership with Bexar County BiblioTech, and the introduction of mobile ticketing with its goMobile app, available later this month.

VIA provides regional multimodal transportation options that connect our community to opportunity, support economic vitality, and enhance quality of life throughout our region. VIA, recognized by the Texas Transit Association in 2016 as the outstanding Metro Transit Authority of the year, serves 14 member cities and the unincorporated areas of Bexar County, operating seven days a week on 90 routes. Last year, VIA provided 40 million rides across the region. VIA’s AAA bond rating reflects the organization’s sound management and financial practices.
