SAN ANTONIO (July 11, 2017) — VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer convenient and affordable Special Event Park & Ride Service for soccer fans attending the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Gold Cup soccer games, featuring Jamaica vs. El Salvador (5 p.m.) and Curaçao vs. Mexico (7 p.m.), on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the Alamodome, 100 Montana St. The Jamaica and El Salvador teams will see two new coaches face off, and the Curaçao and Mexico teams have never met in a match before.

Park & Ride Service will be available from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd. Service to the Alamodome begins at 3 p.m., and return service will continue for one hour after the games have concluded.

The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty members of the military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.

In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Center at the Alamodome, beginning at 3 p.m. and continuing for one hour after the conclusion of the games. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75 and are good for unlimited rides on the day of activation. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Prímo and VIVA centro.
