SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 7, 2017)—VIA Metropolitan Transit has partnered with the San Antonio Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival to provide convenient travel options for festival attendees. VIA will operate longer hours for VIVA centro (Route 301) and VIVA culture (Route 11) to the event grounds on Friday, November 10, to accommodate events in the Hemisfair District, where attendees can enjoy Luminaria’s featured artists as they showcase innovative, edgy and ever-inspiring art in the form of visual art, music, performance, film, poetry and more.
For Friday’s Luminaria events, VIVA centro and VIVA culture will operate on an extended schedule until 12:30 a.m., to connect festivalgoers with planned art, music, and dance performances. Regular line service fares will apply, and all valid fare media will be accepted. The best value is with a VIA Day Pass that provides unlimited rides on the day of purchase for just $2.75. Passes can be purchased in advance or on the bus.
On November 11, Luminaria attendees can travel to and from the event using service in the Downtown area. A detailed map and regular schedules are available at VIAinfo.net.
