In addition, VIA is proposing the following route changes as part of its ongoing service improvements plan:

  • Extend 24 East Houston Frequent west through downtown to serve Centro Plaza for all trips. Short-haul trips (routing via Rio Grande, Gabriel, and Walters streets) would be eliminated with all trips from Downtown continuing to WW White Road at the proposed 12-minute service all day.
  • Minor schedule changes for routes 4 (San Pedro Frequent), 28 (Porter), 62 (Kirk), and 89 (Poplar).
  • New route pairings for routes 4-28 and 62-89. Note that the proposed pairing of routes 62 and 89 would occur at Centro Plaza.
