A vintage VIA Metropolitan Transit trolley was transformed into a dazzling display of light and color for the 2018 Fiesta Flambeau Parade, Saturday, April 28. The trolley theme commemorates the transit agency’s 40th anniversary, while celebrating its “Driving the Future” initiative.
VIA President and CEO Jeff Arndt was joined by VIA Board Members Amanda Merck and A. David Marne aboard the float. VIA staff marched alongside the trolley, greeting parade-goers.
VIA’s Maintenance, Fleet and Body Shop crews decorated the trolley with a Fiesta birthday theme with thousands of lights, flowers, and roof-top candles. VIA’s Safety and Operations team helped keep the float rolling along the 2.6-mile route.
