Bob Comeaux A. David Marne Patricia RodriguezSAN ANTONIO (July 3, 2018) – The VIA Metropolitan Transit Board of Trustees elected three officers at their June 26, 2018 meeting. Patricia Rodriguez (from left) will serve as vice chair, David Marne will be secretary, and Bob Comeaux will fill the position of assistant secretary, a new office approved by the VIA Board at the same meeting. Their terms of office will end Dec. 31, 2018.

Trustee Rodriguez has served on the VIA Board since her appointment by the City of San Antonio in April 2016. She was elected to the position of secretary in January 2018. She has over 15 years of experience in government banking and public finance, and her service record includes leading the San Antonio office of Hutchinson Shockey Erley & Co., a public finance investment banking firm that is headquartered in Chicago.

 

Trustee Marne was first appointed to the VIA Board in January 2014 by the Greater Bexar County Council of Cities. He is the former mayor for the city of Shavano Park, and he is the President/CEO of Half-Priced Real Estate, Inc. He also served 20 years in the United States Air Force.

Trustee Comeaux was appointed to the VIA Board by the City of San Antonio in June 2016. He is a retired field representative for the San Antonio Alliance of Teachers and Support Personnel, and he has been a trustee for the San Antonio AFL-CIO Central Labor Council since 2015.

The VIA Board of Trustees office holders serve one-year terms. The 11-member VIA Board of Trustees meets monthly to discuss policy issues. VIA Board meetings are generally held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
