To get out along West Commerce Street a little quicker, all a rider has to do is hop on route 76 Old Highway 90 West Skip. This route follows the same path as route 75 till just beyond General McMullen Drive. There the route splits off to follow Old Highway 90 West until it reaches the Kel-Lac Transit Center on U.S. Highway 90. Since route 76 is skip service, it bypasses some stops along the way. In fact, between downtown and General McMullen, the route stops at the following intersections only:
Commerce Street and Colorado Street (westbound trips) Commerce Street and Sabinas Street (westbound trips) Commerce Street and Calaveras Street (westbound trips) Commerce Street and Zarzamora Street (westbound trips) Commerce Street and 24th Street Buena Vista Street and Zarazamora Street (eastbound trips) Buena Vista Street and Calaveras Street (eastbound trips) Buena Vista Street and Sabinas Street (eastbound trips) Buena Vista Street and Smith Street (eastbound trips)
Once at the Kel-Lac Transit Center, route 76 makes connections with 11 other bus routes, most of them neighborhood circulators that serve the residential areas around the Loop 410 and Highway 90 area.
