VIA Blog

What do you think?  Contact us about this...

Posted: 1/9/2009

Houston Metro is celebrating the second anniversary of the inception of "Write On Metro," that agency's official blog. When that blog was started, it was the first one in the nation to be run by a transit agency.

But VIA was a close second. We started our blog in May 2007, and we have been using it to share information that may not necessarily find its way into media releases or official publications. We set the blog up ourselves, and we hoped it would be a new way to communicate with our riders and the general public.

As we come up on the second anniversary of our blog, we realize it might be time to do a little tweaking, and we'd like to get your thoughts on this venture. Tell us what you think and any ideas you might have. We probably won't implement all the suggestions we get, but we do want to respond to what you are looking for.

Some things to think about:
- Have you found the information on this blog to be useful?
- What would you like to see more of?
- Does this blog need a name?
- Are there any questions or topics you would like to see specifically addressed?

Send answers to these and other ideas you might have to the link above (Contact us about this...), and we will let you know if and when we plan any changes.

Stephen Andy Scheidt, Public Information Coordinator

P.S.: Capital Metro in Austin also has a blog. You can check it out here.
