Route 70 West Durango is a minor radial route that winds its way through the West Side between Buena Vista Street and Guadalupe Street. It begins its trip going west along Commerce Street (taking Buena Vista on the return trip), and then it turns south on Colorado Street. After passing Tafolla Middle School, route 70 then gets on Durango Boulevard to serve Lanier High School and pass near the Texas Diabetes Institute. The route then turns right on Hamilton Street, left on Saunders Avenue, left on 19th Street, right on San Fernando Street, right on 21st Street, left on San Luis Street, and left on 24th Street. Route 70 then travels down to Castroville Road to end its western journey at the Las Palmas Shopping Center, passing by the Las Palmas Library on the way.
