VIA holding public hearing for proposed budget

VIA Metropolitan Transit and the Advanced Transportation District will hold a public hearing to receive comments from citizens regarding the proposed operating budget for Fiscal Year 2009-10. This hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2009 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the VIA Metro Center, 1021 San Pedro Avenue.
Draft copies of the VIA budget will be available on request beginning September 3, 2009 in the Public Affairs division, located at 800 West Myrtle. Budget copies can be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The VIA Metro Center is accessible by wheelchair. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may request an interpreter 48 hours prior to the meeting by calling TDD 362-2019 or the Public Affairs office at 362-2370.
