Park and ride service available to San Antonio Showdown

VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate special event park and ride service to the 2009 San Antonio Showdown football game between the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Washington State Cougars on Saturday, October 31.
Park and ride service will be offered from the Crossroads Park and Ride, the Randolph Boulevard Park and Ride, the Madla Transit Center, and Parkhills Baptist Church. Service to the Alamodome will begin two-and-a-half hours before kick-off time, and return service will run for 45 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
The park and ride fare to the Showdown is $2.50 each way (total of $5.00 roundtrip) with a discount fare available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA passes are not valid for this service.
