Park and ride service available for Monster Jam

VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate special event park and ride service to the U.S. Hot Rod Association Monster Jam in the Alamodome January 10 and 11, 2009.
Park and ride service will be offered to the Monster Jam from the Crossroads Park and Ride, the Randolph Boulevard Park and Ride, and the Madla Transit Center. On Saturday, January 10, service to the Alamodome will begin at 6:00 p.m., and return service will run for 45 minutes after the end of the show. On Sunday, January 11, service will begin at 12:30 p.m., and return service will run for 45 minutes after the end of the show.
The special event fare is $2.50 each way, or $5.00 total. There is a discount fare of $1.25 each way, or $2.50 total, available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA’s monthly Big Passes are not valid for this service.
