Park and ride service available for MLK march

VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate special event park and ride service for the Martin Luther King, Jr. March on Monday, January 19.
Park and ride service to the march will be offered from the Crossroads Park and Ride and the Randolph Boulevard Park and Ride. Buses will take passengers to the march between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and return trips will run from 12:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. The drop-off point for service to the march will be on Bookertee Drive at Martin Luther King Drive. The pick-up location for return service will be at Pittman Sullivan Park.
The fare is $1.10 one way (total of $2.20 roundtrip) with a discount fare of 55 cents one way ($1.10 total) available to children ages 5-11, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA’s monthly Big Passes are not valid for this service.
Local service after the march will be available on VIA’s route 26, which runs east and west along Martin Luther King Drive.
