Transit Police Officer

Opening Date: 9/18/2007

 $2,878 per month

This position provides transit police service on all VIA owned or controlled property.  Must have high school diploma or GED, 6 months Peace Officer Academy and at least 2 years of law enforcement experience.  2 years military experience and/or 30 college hours or additional related education or experience may be used in determining an equivalent combination.  Transit police/security experience preferred.  Must have a valid current Texas Peace Officer's license and be eligible and qualified to be commissioned as a VIA Police Officer, i.e. Texas Law Enforcement Agency (TCLEOSE).
