Do you work the night shift? Occasionally work late on special projects? Ever find yourself downtown past midnight after a show or late dinner? Then we have the perfect way for you to get around: VIA Starlight Service. It takes up where bus service leaves off, providing, reliable, affordable transportation from 1 am to 4 am, seven days a week.

Where does Starlight go?

Check the map. Starlight can take you to most destinations:

• Inside Loop 410
• In the Medical Center area bordered by Fredericksburg Rd., Babcock, Hamilton Wolf and 410

How Starlight works

Call 362-5115 to reserve your ride and a specially marked vehicle will pick you up. Starlight works like a shuttle service. If you’re the only rider, the driver will take you straight where you’re going. If there are other Starlight customers to pick up, you’ll share the ride with other customers, and the driver will determine the order in which all of you are dropped off at your destinations. Accessible vehicles available on request.

When to make Starlight reservations

Call 362-5115 at least 2 hours before you want to leave. However, you can make reservations any time, 24/7, and up to 7 days in advance. If you need to cancel your ride, please call at least one hour in advance.

What Starlight costs

Fare is $5.50 per person, one way, or $2.75 if you have a VIA Reduced Fare ID . That’s all. No tipping required. Please be ready to pay with cash or credit card. VIA monthly passes are not accepted. (Check with customer service at 362-2020 about the VIA Reduced Fare ID, available to students, seniors, children, persons with disabilities and Medicare recipients.)
