Special Event Service for Martin Luther King March

VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate special event park and ride service for the Martin Luther King, Jr. March on Monday, January 16.

Park and ride service to the march will be offered from the Alamodome (Lot C), St. Philip’s College, and Crossroads Park and Ride. Buses will take passengers to the march between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and return trips will run from 12:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. The drop-off point for service to the march will be on Upland Drive at Martin Luther King Drive. The pick-up location for return service will be at Pittman Sullivan Park.

The fare for the service from the Alamodome and St. Philip’s College is $1.10 one way (total of $2.20 roundtrip) with a discount fare of 55 cents one way ($1.10 total) available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. The fare for the service from Crossroads is $2.50 each way (total of $5.00 roundtrip) with a discount fare of $1.25 one way ($2.50 total) available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA’s passes are not valid for this service.
