SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 13, 2016) – VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate special event park & ride service to Monster Jam at the Alamodome, 100 Montana St., from Saturday, Jan. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.

 

Park & ride service will be offered to Monster Jam from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd.; the Randolph Boulevard Park & Ride, 9400 IH 35 North; and the Madla Transit Center, 1584 Cantrell Dr. On Saturday, Jan. 23, service to the Alamodome will begin at 5 p.m., and on Sunday, Jan. 24, service will begin at noon. Return service on both days will continue until 45 minutes after the event concludes.

 

The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty members of the military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the park & ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under five ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.

 

In addition to the park & ride service, VIA Primo will also serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station, 100 Montana St., during the event. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply, and VIA passes will be accepted for trips on Primo.
