SAN ANTONIO (July 5, 2016) — VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate Special Event Park & Ride Service for soccer fans attending the Liga Mexico match between Club América and Club Santos Laguna, Saturday, July 9, 2016, in the Alamodome, 100 Montana St.
VIA’s Park & Ride Service to the soccer match will be offered from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd., and the Madla Transit Center, 1584 Cantrell Drive. Service will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the last trip to the Alamodome is scheduled to leave at 3 p.m. Return service from the Alamodome will continue for one hour after the game.
The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military members in uniform or with a VIA Reduced Fare ID. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.
In addition to the Park & Ride service, VIA Primo and VIVA centro will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and continuing for one hour after the game. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Primo and VIVA. VIA’s Day Pass with unlimited rides for $2.75 is also available on the bus.
