SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 14, 2016) – VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer visitors and local fans of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the University of Colorado Boulder Buffaloes a convenient and affordable travel option to the Valero Alamo Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016.

The Alamo Bowl kicks off at 8 p.m., in the Alamodome, 100 Montana St. Park & Ride Service to the Alamodome will be provided beginning at 5 p.m., from the Crossroads Park & Ride, the Madla Transit Center, and the Blossom Athletic Center. The service will continue operating until one hour after the game ends.

Park & Ride Service is $2.50 each way, with discounts available for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military members in uniform or with a VIA Reduced Fare ID. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service. A current student ID is required to receive the student rate.

In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Primo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing for one hour after the game. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Primo and VIVA.
