As part of the ongoing Keep SA Moving initiative and Better Bus Plan, VIA introduces proposed service improvements designed to deliver faster, more reliable and seamless public transportation across San Antonio. These strategic updates focus on expanding route frequency, extending service hours and broadening VIA Link on-demand transit zones to better connect riders to essential jobs, healthcare and education hubs. By optimizing transit corridors and reducing wait times, VIA continues to modernize mobility, lower carbon footprints and ensure an accessible, efficient transit network for all San Antonio residents.
VIA Metropolitan Transit is hosting a public hearing to receive comments on proposed service improvements scheduled for implementation on January 11, 2027.
Public comment deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
