What is a VIA tele-town hall?

A VIA tele-town hall is a virtual, interactive event that provides opportunities to connect directly with VIA. These events cover a range of topics, including VIA services, upcoming changes, system updates and other news relevant to riders and the broader community. Participants can ask questions and hear from VIA representatives in real time.

How do tele-town halls work?

There are two easy ways to participate:

• Phone: Register to join by phone. Registered participants will receive a callback just before the event begins.
• Online: Watch live at https://viainfo.net/townhall/live at the start of the event.
• Facebook: Follow VIA Metropolitan Transit on Facebook, set your notifications to alert you when VIA goes live, and watch the event from your digital device.

Both options provide access to the same live event, so participants can choose whichever is most convenient.

Why does VIA host tele-town halls?

VIA is committed to keeping the community informed and making engagement as accessible as possible. Rather than asking participants to travel to a physical location, VIA invites the community to participate in tele-town halls to meet people where they are — whether at home, at work or on the go. This format helps us remove barriers to participation and create a more convenient way for community members to stay connected and share their thoughts and questions.
