DESCRIPTION:Job Fair offers opportunities in various areas \nVIA Metropolitan Transit will host a Hiring Event, looking to fill the following positions:\n♦ Bus operators\nJob applicants should complete the following:\n♦ Online application prior to event\n♦ Arrive no earlier than posted time.\nView the complete list of open jobs. Applicants who complete the online application prior to the the Job Fair will be interviewed that day.\nVIA is offering hiring incentives of up to $4,000 for bus operators.\nStarting hourly wage for full-time bus operators is $22.45, which increases to more than $24 by the 12th month of service.\nBus operators receive uniform allowances.\nPaid training is provided for new operator hires with classes starting weekly. Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for bus operator openings:\n♦ 21 years or older\n♦ Valid Texas driver’s license\n♦ Three (3) years of experience driving a vehicle\nVIA offers one of the most extensive employee benefits packages in the industry, including family medical coverage; life, dental and vision insurance; paid vacation, sick leave and holidays; longevity pay; shift differential pay; tuition assistance; on-site fitness centers and wellness programs; training and advancement opportunities; and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification reimbursement.\nFree designated parking is available for job fair attendees.
