PARK & RIDE SERVICE FAQ

WHAT IS THE FARE?

  • Park & Ride fare is $2.60 roundtrip ($1.30 each way).

  • A discount fare of $1.30 roundtrip (two one-way trips of .65¢ each) is available for children ages 5-13; senior citizens 62 years and older; Medicare recipients; persons with disabilities; and students with a valid VIA ID.

  • VIAtrans customers ride free. If the VIAtrans customer is accompanied by one companion and/or one authorized personal care attendant, all may ride Park & Ride Service free of charge.

  • Children ages 4 and under are also free when they are accompanied by an adult.

  • Seniors 62 and older with a valid VIA ID ride free to events that are on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

  • VIA’s Day Pass, 7-Day Pass, 31-Day Pass, and U-Pass are valid for Park & Ride Service.

  • Fares also can be purchased the day of the event at the Park & Ride location.

WHEN DOES SERVICE TO THE EVENT END?

Sales and bus service to the event end at the scheduled start time of the event.

WHERE DO I PURCHASE THE FARE?

  • The most convenient way to purchase Park & Ride fare is with the VIA goMobile+ available for Apple and Android devices.

  • In the VIA goMobile+ app, riders should select two (2) $1.30 fares. Each pass is good for 2.5 hours after activation; do not activate until ready to board.

  • Fares also can be purchased the day of the event at the Park & Ride location kiosk.

WHERE DO I GET BACK ON THE BUS?

You may board the bus at the same point you exited. Park & Ride buses are labeled at the top by the front door and top front of the bus as to which location the bus is going. If you have any questions and would to like to make sure you’re on the correct bus, you may ask a nearby supervisor or the bus operator.

WHEN DOES THE LAST BUS LEAVE?

Buses will start returning to park and ride locations immediately at the conclusion of the event for one hour.

CAN I BRING A DRINK ON THE BUS?

In an effort to keep our buses clean and comfortable, VIA asks passengers to refrain from eating food or drinking beverages while on the bus.
