VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide free bus and VIAtrans trips throughout its service area to all federal government employees who are affected by the partial government shutdown beginning Friday, January 18. Federal workers can ride VIA fare-free by showing their federal government employee ID to the bus or van operator.

Free service will remain available on all VIA mainline bus service, including Prímo and VIVA, and VIAtrans paratransit service, for the duration of the government shutdown.
