VIA is proud to join the American Public Transportation Association in recognizing National Transit Employee Appreciation Day (TEAD) with celebrations at multiple transit center and VIA facilities on March 18, 2024. We want to let all VIA employees know that they are the Superheroes that keep San Antonio moving. Everyone at VIA – all departments and divisions – plays a vital role in the success of the agency and we want to acknowledge each one.

TRADING CARDS
Introducing the VIA Superhero Trading Cards, designed exclusively in limited release for VIA Metropolitan Transit Employees.
Your Superhero mission is to trade these epic cards – showcasing each division at VIA – with coworkers from other divisions the week of March 18-22 and collect the complete set of 11 cards, plus four Rare Gold Cards.
Let the trading begin!!
1. COLLECTING
Grab a few of your Division’s Superhero cards from your supervisor or admin beginning Friday, March 14.
2. TRADING
Seek out coworkers you’ve never met, share your Superhero Trading card and build your own set.
The coffee bar event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 18 is a great place to start!
3. SHARING
Share the excitement about the first ever Superhero Trading Card experience by sharing on social media
with VIA and/or with the hashtag #TEAD #TransitEmployeeAppreciationDay or email to [email protected]

COLLECT TO WIN A LUNCH FOR YOUR DIVISION
1. Every employee who collects at least five (5) unique cards from five (5) different Divisions earns one (1) point.
2. All Superheroes will need to email a photo displaying the collected card to [email protected] to earn the point.
3. Each in-office administrative employee can earn a maximum of (1) point.
4. Each point earned by an employee within a Division will be added to the cumulative score for the Division.
5. The cumulative score for a Division will be divided by the number of in-office administrative employees to determine the percentage of participation.
6. The Division with the highest percentage of participation will win a cool prize. We’ll notify the winner.
EXAMPLE:
A Division has 10 in-office administrative employees. Three (3) employees each collect five (5) unique card from other Divisions, to earn three (3) points for their Division.
The three (3) points are divided by the 10 employees for a total of 30% participation.
