A virtual public hearing for VIA Metropolitan Transit/Advanced Transportation District’s proposed Fiscal Year 2021 operating budget is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, and will be streamed live on the VIA Public Input Page and VIA’s Facebook page.

The hearing will be conducted in English.  An ASL interpreter will also be visible during the virtual presentation. Spanish translation of the discussion will be available upon request, following the hearing. Public comments can be submitted during the online public hearing at PublicInput.com/VIAFY21Budget. Anyone interested in speaking, must register online. Each person will have up to 3 minutes to speak.

Public comments also may be submitted in English or Spanish until Sept. 18, 2020, in the following ways:

The draft budgets can be viewed online on the VIA Public Input Page, and also are available for viewing at the following VIA Transit Centers during normal hours of operation.

All non-exempt visitors are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when visiting a VIA facility. Persons who do not have a mask will be asked to return when they are able to meet the city’s executive order. Persons who wish to claim an exemption based on a mental or physical health risk will be asked to show their VIA-issued VIAtrans ID or Reduced Fare ID. If you are not a VIAtrans or Reduced Fare customer but have a condition that prevents you from safely wearing a face covering, please inform VIA staff upon arrival. Based on the nature of the customer’s need, he/she may be assisted in a socially distanced manner, following CDC guidelines.
