VIA Offers Free Service from Brooks Transit Center to Concert at Alamodome

VIA Metropolitan Transit has added two Park & Ride locations to make it easier for fans to get to the Shakira concert on Saturday, July 5, at the Alamodome (100 Montana St.). Park & Ride service will be available at the Frost Bank Center, and the Brooks Transit Center, in addition to Crossroads Park & Ride

Passengers who travel to the concert from Brooks Transit Center can ride fare-free. All event Park & Service information is is available on the Park & Ride Events page.

Park & Ride customers park for free at all three locations. Service from Crossroads Park & Ride and the Frost Bank Center pay just $1.30 per trip ($2.60 for round-trip service)with reduced fares for students, military and others who qualify.

VIA’s Park & Ride buses will have priority access to and from the Alamodome, making the service a hassle-free way to access the Shakira concert.

Know Before You Go
Service to the concert will be available from three locations:

VIA plans to continue offering Park & Ride service from the Brooks Transit Center for major events taking place at the Alamodome.

Service to the Robert Thompson Transit Center at the Alamodome begins at 5:30 p.m., two hours prior to the beginning of the show at 7:30 p.m. Kiosk sales and service to the event ends at 7:30 p.m. Return service will continue to each of the locations until one hour after the show.

Concertgoers have several convenient ways to pay. Passes can be purchased online, at the Park & Ride location or through the goMobile+ app. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. Riders can also pay at any fare box using VIA passes, all mobile wallets (Apple, Google and Samsung) and contactless debit and credit cards.
