VIA has been moving our community for more than 40 years, providing affordable, reliable public transportation for San Antonio and Bexar County. And like our dynamic city, VIA is growing and changing to meet our transportation challenges head on, today and for our future.
That’s why VIA is reimagining transportation — and you’re part of the plan. VIA will host a series of informational Open Houses throughout October to receive comments from the public.
The VIA Reimagined Plan has three key elements:
• Better Bus System – More frequent and reliable transit across the service area.
• Advanced Rapid Transit – A network of high-capacity vehicles running in dedicated lanes to bypass traffic.
• Smart Transit – Using technology to improve the customer experience.
VIA Reimagined forms the backbone of a modern transportation system for our growing region. It’s a comprehensive plan, informed by the community, that will allow riders to choose how and when to travel; provide more direct connections to jobs, education, recreation and services; be more accessible, simple and easier to navigate; and improve traffic flow and air quality.
The information sessions are where the public can learn more about the VIA Reimagined plan and how it can work for anyone. All Open Houses listed below will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The valuable feedback you provide will help create our VIA Reimagined Plan.
