VIA is increasing service on several routes as part of planned systemwide improvements with additional service designed to provide more frequent trips while maintaining safety for customers and employees.
OVERVIEW OF PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES FOR MAY 2021
Routes 25 East Commerce and 75 West Commerce: Improve frequency from 20 to 15 minutes all day on weekdays.
Routes 10 Naco/Broadway and 51 Nogalitos: Improve frequency from 30 to 20 minutes all day on weekdays.
Routes 502 Thousand Oaks and 602 North Star/Medical Center: Improve frequency from 60 to 30 minutes all day on weekdays.
Route 651 Deco District / Castle Hills: Improve frequency from 60 to 45 minutes all day on weekdays.
Routes 4 San Pedro Frequent and 28 Porter Frequent Improve frequency from 30 minutes to 20 minutes from 6 – 9 a.m. on weekdays.
Routes 3 San Pedro Skip and 76 West Commerce Skip Improve frequency from 20 to 15 minutes on Saturdays.
Route 25 East Commerce: Extension to Royal View will resume during peak hours only.
Route 505 Basse: Will no longer continue as Route 630 Randolph/Kirby/Sunrise.
Route 629 Industry Park: Will continue as Route 632 Randolph/Ventura weekdays only.
Route 630 Randolph/Kirby/Sunrise: Will be modified due to long term construction and travel from N. Foster Rd. to Summerfest, Old Seguin Rd., Ackerman Rd., Binz-Engleman before returning to N. Foster Rd. Will also continue as Route 632 Randolph/Ventura weekdays only.
