Service Changes - August 2022 - VIA Metropolitan Transit

SERVICE CHANGES EFFECTIVE AUGUST 8 & 22, 2022

Below is the list of VIA service changes that will go into effect:

One-Year Pilot Program
Beginning on August 8, proposed service will be 7 days a week, 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Coverage includes Madla Transit Center, Palo Alto College, Texas A&M University San Antonio, South San High School & Toyota Manufacturing.
ROUTE SERVICE REVISION
524 - General McMullenReplace extension from Texas Vista Medical Center and Palo Alto College with VIA Link service no sooner than 60 days after new service is launched.
672 - Texas A&M University San Antonio / Madla Transit CenterReplace route with VIA Link service no sooner than 60 days after new service is launched.
7 – US 281 Stone Oak / Brooks ExpressBeginning on August 22, re-route to service San Antonio International Airport. Revised route will serve Stone Oak Park & Ride, Airport, Downtown, and Brooks Transit Center.
651 – Deco District / Castle HillsBeginning on August 22, adjust weekday frequency from 70 minutes to 90 minutes and weekend frequency from 65 to 90 minutes between 6 AM and 6PM to improve reliability.
