VIA is proposing updates to bus and VIA Link service to improve frequency and connections.

VIA follows a consistent, open process for every proposed service update so riders, operators and the community can provide input before anything is finalized.

Proposed Changes to VIA Services
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED SERVICE PLAN
Below are the proposed bus service changes. Select your route to see more details.
- Service is from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week
- No change to underlying VIAtrans service
- General Boundaries
- Northern boundary: Stone Oak Park and Ride (at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and the 281 N frontage road)
- Southern boundary: Intersection of US 281 and E Nakoma
- VIA Facility Connections:
- Stone Oak Park and Ride
- Satellite Stops:
- Parman Branch Library
- HEB Wilderness Oak & Hardy Oak
- JW Marriot
- Walker Ranch Senior Center
- Route to retire on January 12, 2027:
- 648 North Star/ Stone Oak

Route Realignments Route Changes
Route 42 - Roosevelt
- Proposed realignment to continue on Roosevelt to serve Martinez-Losoya Rd and Leal Rd.
- Select morning, midday, and afternoon trips will be available.
- Service to Navistar (International Manufacturing) and TJ Maxx Distribution Center will be discontinued.
Route 619 - Kel-Lac/Indian Creek/Port San Antonio
- Proposed realignment to travel from the Walmart on Quantum Loop, to Kel-Lac Transit Center, the Westside Health Center, and terminate at Port San Antonio.
- The realignment would meet the needs of the community by providing a faster and more direct route between their neighborhoods and the Kel-Lac Transit Center.
- The segments not served by route 619 are served by Primo 102 on SW Military Drive and Route 524 on Quintana Road and General Hudnell Drive.
