Public Hearing on Proposed New VIA Link Zone

VIA Metropolitan Transit is hosting a public hearing to receive comments on a proposed new VIA Link zone in the Stone Oak area and related service changes scheduled for implementation on October 19, 2026.

Public Hearing Date: Wednesday, August 12, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m.

Location: VIA Stone Oak Park & Ride, 22139 US-281, San Antonio, TX 78258 

Comment Deadline: Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

REVIEW ALL PROPOSED CHANGES

SUMMARY OF PROPOSED SERVICE PLAN 

  • Service is from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week 
  • No change to underlying VIAtrans service 
  • General Boundaries 
    • Northern boundary: Stone Oak Park and Ride (at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and the 281 N frontage road) 
    • Southern boundary: Intersection of US 281 and E Nakoma 
  • VIA Facility Connections: 
    • Stone Oak Park and Ride 
  • Satellite Stops: 
    • Parman Branch Library 
    • HEB Wilderness Oak & Hardy Oak 
    • JW Marriot 
    • Walker Ranch Senior Center 
  • Route to retire on January 12, 2027: 
    • 648 North Star/ Stone Oak
