SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 28, 2017) – VIA Metropolitan Transit’s and the Advanced Transportation District’s proposed operating budgets for Fiscal Year 2017-18 (Oct. 1, 2017 – Sept. 30, 2018) are available to for public comment, beginning Aug. 28, 2017.

The draft budget can be viewed online at VIAinfo.net. The documents are also available upon request from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, at VIA’s Marketing & Communications Office at The Grand, 123 N. Medina St.

The Presentation on Proposed FY2018 Operating Budget and FY2018-2022 Proposed Capital Program also can be viewed online.

A public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at the VIA Administration Building, Administration Board Room, 800 W. Myrtle. The VIA Administration Building is served by routes 3, 4, and 20. The public hearing will include a presentation and a public comment period. Anyone wishing to offer comments at the meeting will be required to sign up in person before the public comment period begins.

Comments may be submitted at the public hearing or in writing through Sept. 12, 2017. A court reporter/transcriber will be available to accept verbal comments. Comments may also be submitted online using the online comment form. Online comments will be accepted through midnight on Sept. 12, 2017.
