SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 20, 2017) – VIA Metropolitan Transit is excited to introduce the VIVA Passport Program, offering visitors and locals a ticket to explore the heart of San Antonio with convenient and affordable bus service.
More than 34 million visitors arrive in the Alamo City each year, many with destinations in the historic downtown area and the region’s cultural corridors, and VIA’s VIVA service connects travelers with some of the most popular sites in Texas along three routes: VIVA culture (11), VIVA missions (40), and VIVA centro (301). The VIA VIVA Passport is a collectible booklet with valuable offers from VIA partners with venues, storefronts, and events along all three VIVA corridors, providing helpful information and guidance to plan a trip or a whole day of exploration.
“With the VIVA Passport Program, we’ve created another new and vital connection to the people, places, and experiences that make our beloved San Antonio and region the true heart of Texas,” VIA President/CEO Jeffrey C. Arndt said.
The VIVA Passports will be issued seasonally aboard VIVA buses, at partner locations, and at VIA’s Customer Information Centers and Transit Centers. The first issue will be distributed just in time for the holiday season, and select seasons in the coming year will be emphasized in the program, including San Antonio’s Tricentennial Celebration, Spring Break/Fiesta, and the summer travel months.
VIA’s VIVA service is the connection to the region’s attractions and celebrations, and the VIVA Passport is everyone’s ticket to adventure, information, and incentives in the heart of San Antonio. VIVA routes run daily. For more information on VIA’s VIVA service, visit VIAinfo.net/VIVA.
