Service offers round-trip to Alamodome for just $5

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 26, 2017) —College football fans can take VIA Park & Ride and enjoy a convenient, affordable travel option to the Valero Alamo Bowl when the TCU Horned Frogs take on the Stanford Cardinal, Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Alamodome.

Kick off is at 8 p.m. Park & Ride Service to the Alamodome will begin at 5 p.m., Thursday, from Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd., and Madla Transit Center, 1584 Cantrell Drive. Return service will continue until one hour after the game ends.

VIA’s Park & Ride Service is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. Customers can also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on their smartphones with the free VIA goMobile app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for Park & Ride Service.

In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be on alternate routes to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, and continue for one hour after the game. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Prímo and VIVA.
