Multiple roads throughout San Antonio remain closed due to flooded roadways and are affecting some VIA routes.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Leon Creek at IH-35 N. Roads throughout San Antonio remain closed due to flooded roadways.

Route 21 – No Service on IH-35 North and South access roads between AT&T Parkway and Binz-Engleman.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Bexar County in south central Texas until 8:30 a.m. Some locations that will experience flooding include San Antonio, Stinson Municipal Airport, San Antonio Int Airport, Randolph AFB, Leon Valley, Helotes, Kirby, Alamo Heights and Windcrest.

UPDATE: 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018

The National Weather Service reports Heavy rainfall and flash flooding possible across portions of south central Texas this morning. A cold front combined with a very moist atmosphere will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms across portions of the Hill Country into the San Antonio metro area this morning. Heavy rains combined with wet ground will produce rapid runoff and flash flooding. Rain chances are expected to decrease later this morning as the cold front moves east of the region.
