VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide convenient and affordable Park & Ride Service for comic fans attending the Alamo City Comic Con, Oct 26-28, 2018 in the Alamodome, 100 Montana St.

Park & Ride Service to the Alamodome runs from the Crossroads Park & Ride, 151 Crossroads Blvd., and begins two hours before Comic Con begins each day with return service continuing until one hour after the end of the event.

Friday, October 26 – Service starts 1 p.m., return service ends 9 p.m.
Saturday, October 27 – Service starts 8 a.m., return service ends 8 p.m.
Sunday, October 28 – Service starts 8 a.m., return service ends 7 p.m.

VIA’s Park & Ride Service is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. Customers can also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on their smartphones with the free VIA goMobile app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for Park & Ride Service.

In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be on alternate routes to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning two hours before the doors open and continuing for one hour after the end of the event. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Prímo and VIVA.

In efforts to provide a safer environment for the public and in order to expedite fan entry into the stadium, a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Alamodome is in effect. Comic Con attendees who board VIA buses with non-clear bags, large purses, backpacks, etc., will not be allowed to take those bags into the Alamodome.
