VIA Metropolitan Transit has partnered with the San Antonio Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival to provide convenient travel options to Hemisfair for festival attendees.
VIA will operate longer hours for VIVA centro (Route 301) and VIVA culture (Route 11) to the event grounds on Saturday, November 10, to accommodate events in the Hemisfair District, where attendees can enjoy new works in performance, music, literature, dance, visual arts and more. For Saturday’s Luminaria events, the VIVA extended schedule will operate until 12:30 a.m. to connect festivalgoers with special Tricentennial artworks and performances that explore the identity, history, people, land and culture of San Antonio.
Regular line service fares will apply for the extended service, and all valid fare media will be accepted. The best value is with a VIA Day Pass that provides unlimited rides on the day of purchase for just $2.75. Passes can be purchased in advance, on the bus, or through the goMobile app.
