Service offers free tickets to the games, round-trip transportation for just $5

VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide convenient and affordable Park & Ride Service to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, and riders who take VIA to the Alamodome on that day will get free tickets to the games.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl begins at noon, and the All-Star Game begins at 5 p.m. Park & Ride Service to the Alamodome will be provided from the Crossroads Park & Ride and the Madla Transit Center beginning at 10 a.m., and will continue operating until one hour after the All-Star Game ends. Vouchers for free entry into the games will be provided at the Crossroads Park & Ride and the Madla Transit Center.

VIA’s Park & Ride Service is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares for children, seniors, students, and active-duty military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride locations. Customers can also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on their smartphones with VIA’s goMobile app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for Park & Ride Service.

In addition to the Park & Ride Service, VIA Prímo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be on alternate routes to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing for one hour after the second game. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Prímo and VIVA.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Vouchers for free entry into the games will be provided at the VIA tent at the north plaza of the Alamodome for Prímo and VIVA centro customers.
