VIA Route 36, with service to Elmendorf Park & Ride, is on detour due to a major accident on U.S. Hwy. 181 at Laguna Road that has both north and south-bound lanes closed.
Authorities are listing it as a chemical spill and clean up is expected to take several hours.
Route 36 will be on the following detour until further notice.

Note:The detour will miss a large portion of the route and bypass the Palm Park neighborhood. VIA supervisors are working with authorities to get passengers to their destinations with the affected area.
