VIA goMobile users will see some enhancements to the mobile app, including availability in Spanish and larger font for ticket verification, that go into effect July 10, 2019.

Among the major changes to the app is a switch to a different banking institution for card processing. The change will cause users’ stored card information to be cleared. There will be a one-time requirement to re-enter and save credit card information for future purchases.

Additional changes to the goMobile app include a larger font size in the in-use tickets to simplify verification of tickets when boarding, and an added feature flag to include ticket activation time in the QR Code view.

The Spanish feature of the app will require users to change their mobile device’s language to Spanish. Most of the apps’ features will be available in Spanish, however, the names of fare products, such as 31-Day Pass, 2.5-Hour Pass, and Day Pass, as well as the VIA Tools, will remain in English.

The goMobile is VIA’s mobile ticketing and trip planning app that is free to download for Apple and  Android devices and there are no additional fees to purchase VIA products.

With VIA goMobile, VIA is continuing its commitment to offer convenient and helpful passenger amenities and resources. Riders can utilize VIA’s free systemwide 4G LTE WiFi to manage their goMobile account while making a trip or visiting any of our Transit Centers.
