VIA is joining the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) to kick off VIVA Days for FREE Family Flicks featuring “Nacho Libre,” on Friday, July 19.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets for the outdoor film that starts at sundown (approximately 8:30 p.m.). Make your own luchador mask and take a selfie in the wrestling-inspired photo booth inside VIA’s VIVA culture bus.

The event, which also features mariachis and food from the Teka Molina food truck, is part of VIVA days, which spotlights local destinations along VIVA’s three routes.

Route 11 VIVA culture takes riders from Southtown, along the museum stretch that includes the San Antonio Museum of Art, the San Antonio Zoo, San Antonio Botanical Garden, and other points of interest.

Route 40 VIVA missions provides service from downtown to the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site; and Route 301 VIVA centro circles downtown from Centro Plaza to the San Antonio Convention Center and all stops in between.

SAMA’s Family Flicks: “Nacho Libre” is free to the public, and suggested for ages 11 and up. Pets are not permitted on the museum campus, however, service animals are allowed.
