VIA Metropolitan Transit is proud to partner with H-E-B once again to provide complimentary transportation to and/or from the 34th Annual H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting in Travis Park at 301 E. Travis St. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019.
The transportation, provided courtesy of event organizers, includes all VIA mainline bus service and VIAtrans service for registered patrons. When boarding, passengers simply inform the operator that they are attending the H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting to ride fare-free. Registered VIAtrans customers should schedule their trip in accordance with VIAtrans policies and procedures. Riders who would like additional information regarding routes and scheduling on the day of the event may call 210-362-2020.
Festivities begin at 3 p.m., with the Tree Lighting Ceremony kicking off at 6 p.m. followed by a screening of the classic holiday movie, “Home Alone.” The free community celebration is open to the public and will feature family-friendly activities, including holiday crafts, live music, and a special visit from Santa Claus.
