The 2019 Valero Alamo Bowl was a huge success and VIA scored a victory with more than 5,000 fans using Park & Ride Special Event Service to the annual game at the Alamodome Dec. 31.
College football fans got in the spirit before the game, enjoying the convenient and affordable travel option to the Alamo Bowl, in which the Texas Longhorns upended No. 12 Utah 38-10.
“Three of us decided to take Via Park & Ride to the Alamo Bowl on New Years Eve,” said local fan Matt McGlothlin. “I downloaded the app and purchased our tickets from there, which was super easy. When we got to Crossroads there was a short line that moved very quickly. Leaving after the game I expected a much longer line, but ended up waiting less than five minutes. Everything ran extremely efficiently and the overall experience was excellent. We will be taking Park & Ride much More often.”
VIA also extended the hours of return service, so that fans who attended the game could enjoy the fireworks and downtown festivities to ring in the new year.
