Take VIA special event service round-trip for just $5 and claim your free game tickets
Fans who take VIA special event service to the Alamodome for the All-American Bowl and San Antonio Sports All-Star football games, Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, will receive free game tickets through VIA’s partnership with the San Antonio Sports Foundation.
The All-American Bowl begins at noon, and the All-Star Game begins at 5 p.m. Service to the Alamodome will be provided from the Crossroads Park & Ride beginning at 10 a.m. and will continue operating until one hour after the All-Star Game ends. Vouchers for free entry into the games will be provided at the Crossroads Park & Ride.
VIA’s special event service is only $2.50 each way with discounted fares for children, seniors, students, and active-duty U.S. military. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. Customers can also conveniently pre-purchase tickets on their smartphones with VIA’s goMobile+ app. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for special event service.
In addition to the special event service, VIA prímo (100) will be on an alternate route to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing for one hour after the second game. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Unlimited Day Passes are available on the bus for $2.75. VIA bus passes will be accepted only for trips on VIA prímo (100).
