Here’s a friendly reminder for VIA riders: Remember that San Antonio seniors, age 62 and older, can enjoy free and reduced fares with a VIA Reduced Fare ID.

Passengers presenting a reduced-fare ID when boarding a bus or booking a trip with VIA Link on demand service, qualify for reduced fares, including 25-cent trips from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and totally free fares on Saturday and Sunday.

It’s just one way VIA is helping connect our community with affordable, reliable transit options.

It’s easy to get your Reduced Fare ID and begin enjoying the perks of being a VIA rider. Present a government-issued ID with date of birth (state ID, driver’s license, veteran’s ID, or passport), showing you are 62 years or older at any transit center location offering the service. VIA Reduced Fare IDs are available at most VIA Information Centers. The Randolph and Ellis Alley locations are currently not offering ID services.

VIA also offers discounted fare programs for students, children, persons with a disability, veterans, active-duty U.S. military, and Medicare recipients. For a complete list of eligible discounts, visit VIAinfo.net/reduced-fares.
