“It is inspiring to see how the César E. Chávez March for justice, a longtime San Antonio tradition has evolved and has been embraced by so many in our community, especially our youth. We strongly encourage our K–12 and college students to march alongside their friends, family, community, civic leaders, and elected officials. The March provides an opportunity to engage in civic participation and advocate for social and economic justice for our communities,” said César E. Chávez Legacy & Educational Foundation Chairman Ernest Martinez.

The organization’s annual march is co-sponsored by the City of San Antonio. This year’s theme is celebrating “Finding True Life through Service to Others.” The march announced a Grand Marshal Trio for the procession: Interim District 7 City Councilmember Rosie Castro, U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro, and former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro.
