VIA Metropolitan Transit is making it easier for fans to get to the UTSA Football home opener on Saturday, Sept. 6, when the Roadrunners take on the Texas State Bobcats at the Alamodome (100 Montana St.).

Park & Ride service will be available from Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201) and Brooks Transit Center (3026 Sidney Brooks Drive, 78235), as convenient and affordable options to get to the game.

Service to the Alamodome begins at 11:30 a.m., three hours prior to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Kiosk sales and service to the game end at 2:30 p.m. Return service will continue until one hour after the conclusion of the game.

VIA will also host a tailgate event for fans riding Park & Ride to the game. The celebration begins at 11:30 a.m. on the surface level at the Robert Thompson Transit Station at the Alamodome, where riders with a Park & Ride wristband can enjoy complimentary snacks, games and a photobooth.

Park & Ride customers park for free and pay just $2.60 for round-trip service, with reduced fares for students, military and others who qualify. More details are available at VIAinfo.net/park-ride-events/.

VIA’s Park & Ride buses will have priority access to and from the Alamodome, making the service a hassle-free way to get to the game.

Fans have several convenient ways to pay. Passes can be purchased online, at the Park & Ride location or through the goMobile+ app. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location.
